STRAIGHT OCTAGON MATCH GRADE - TARGET BARRELS FOR ROUND BALL AVAILABLE AS SPECIAL ORDERS
Available in: 13/16", 15/16", 1", 1 1/16" and 1 1/8" with lengths up to 44" in length.
Calibers: 32, 40, 45, 50, 54, 58 and 62 without false muzzles.
Standard twist: 40 - 1/48, 45 - 1/66, 50 - 1/66, 54 - 1/66 with square bottom rifling. Option(s) any twist and/or round bottom rifling available for additional cost ($20).
Each barrel blank will be selected from straight bar stock prior to being stress relieved in an electric furnace.
Barrels that are straightened and not stress relieved will have a memory. This memory will assert itself as the barrel retains heat affecting group size and location. Stress relieving realigns the molecular structure giving stability and shoot-ability to the barrel.
Each barrel will be hand lapped to a mirror finish.
Breech threads will be square shouldered and bottomed. The muzzle will be indicated in a 4-jaw lathe chuck and the crown cut and polished at 60 degrees.
The barrel flats will be polished and stamped "MATCH GRADE".
Breech plugs: 3" straight tang supplied and fitted, optional 6" or 3" flared for an additional charge($20).
